ShadoKat is a poet born in the dirty Jerz who burst onto the spoken word scene in 2003 by making a run to the semi-finals at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. I've seen him perform live many a time, and his metaphors, message and delivery always combine to challenge his audience while taking them on an emotional journey. Most of all, he's really real and a humble dude, always willing to chat you up and performing at them grimy, 15-person joints in the back room of a bulding (Behind the Scenes, whut!). His latest CD, "Rebirth of the Mic," is available at CD Baby.
