theFoundation is an up-and-coming, Bard-based funk, hip-hop and soul quartet. They have played venues from house parties to colleges to the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and were tagged as one of the NYC-area's best unsigned artists under 30, performing at the Next Next Wave Festival at the BAMcafe. Their album "whitespace" is currently on sale at itsthefoundations.com.
And their lead singer/pianist happens to be my boy Akie (on the right in the photo). What are friends for if not to blow each other up?
